Renting property in Scotland is regulated by law. Ensure that you have made all the necessary preparations including, but not limited to:

  • Registering as a landlord in Scotland

  • Protecting the deposit if you took one

  • Ensuring the property meets the required repairing standard

  • Preparing an Inventory 

  • Giving the tenant the 'Easy Read Notes for the Scottish Government Model Tenancy Agreement', or the 'Private Residential Tenancy Statutory Terms Supporting Notes'

Signing online

  1. Print a copy for each party to the agreement.

  2. Each party must sign and date both copies.
