Signing in print
Print a copy for each party to the assignment of intellectual property.
If you refer to any attached materials in the schedules, remember to attach them to the agreement.
Each party must sign and date both copies.
The date of the contract is the date on which the parties signed, if that was the same day. If they signed on different days, then it is the day when the last person signed.
Each party should keep their own original signed agreement.
A copy of the assignment of intellectual property will also be stored under ‘My Documents’ in your Rocket Lawyer account.
Remember that a transfer of registered IPR will need to be registered with the appropriate authorities. Ask a lawyer if you need help with this.
