Tell us a bit about you and your business.
Before starting my own business, I worked as a web developer for over 20 years. In November 2020, I launched Bananabrains which develops custom built web applications.
Our target customers are consultants and business coaches but our products are available to everyone. The aim of the company is to help businesses save time and money. We do this by understanding first the specific business requirements and then providing advice on how to apply the most relevant and useful technology.
What is your biggest business achievement so far?
My business is still very much in the startup phase but I’m very excited and proud of the development of our Invoicer product.
Invoicer is a web app that automates invoicing, credit control and related admin tasks. The aim is to provide small businesses with an affordable product that improves their customer engagement, uses the latest and sophisticated technology and is easy to use.
What would you say has been your biggest challenge and what have you learned from your experiences starting a business?
The initial challenge I faced was thinking about and planning the correct time to launch Bananabrains. I was due to launch the business in April 2020 but decided to delay this until later on in the year because of the uncertainty created by COVID-19.
Also, I didn’t realise how much there is to think about! My checklists can get quite long but this has been something Rocket Lawyer has helped with.
