3 Unique Yet Practical Holiday Perks for Your Hardworking Employees

‘Tis the season to show our appreciation for those around us — and that includes your employees! If you’re a small business owner, you may not have the time and resources to sit down and brainstorm unique yet practical holiday perks for your employees, especially during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year. That’s why we’ve done the researching for you! Here’s a list of great holiday perks for your hardworking employees.

Legal Benefits

Americans face legal issues every day. And similar to going to a doctor when we’re feeling ill, we seek support from legal experts to guide us. But unlike going to the doctor, going to a lawyer can be a lot more daunting, not to mention costly and time-consuming. Fortunately, Rocket Lawyer’s Legal Benefits program can help solve that problem and offer your employees comfort and security in legal issues, like elder/parental care, marriage (and divorce), car accidents, child care, wills and estate planning, and renting an apartment, buying a property, or even selling a property.

No matter how small your business is, we have flexible pricing and customizable Legal Benefits plans that’ll fit your business needs. Once your employees are enrolled into the program, they’ll gain access to legal support so they can talk to a traffic lawyer about their speeding ticket or even speak to an estate planning specialist that can help complete their will.

Holiday Lunches

During the holiday season, most of us are either hosting guests at our homes or flying back to our hometown. So, it can difficult to keep our routine when our free time is being allocated to basting a turkey for 12 hours for a 20-person dinner. Simple things like prepping for workday meals can become difficult. The solution as a small business owner? Offer free, healthy lunches at work! Plus, these company lunches can provide a time for your employees to socialize and get festive for the holiday season.

Special Events

Your small business may be too busy to offer an extended paid vacation to your employees, but you can keep the spirits up and create a festive environment by providing special events throughout the season. From “Bring Your Dog to Work Day” (studies have shown that dogs in workplaces can actually lower stress levels in employees) to “Festive Fridays” (or otherwise known as “Free Food Fridays” to employees), these special holiday events can make working during the holiday season feel a lot less tedious and a lot more fun for everyone at your small business.

Thank you for the tips. I love the idea of providing a special holiday lunch for employees. Special events are also always fun. You can give away fun prizes and have entertainment that you don’t usually have every year. I’m sure checking with a business lawyer about the prizes and entertainment would be good just to be safe.
