Furlough letter checklist

Make it Legal™ Checklist

Here are a few important steps to take to finish your document

Read the document to make sure it meets your needs.

Remember that if you have any questions you can easily Ask a lawyer.

Make sure that you have had a discussion with the employee regarding them being put on furlough (either full-time, part-time or being re-furloughed), having their hours changed, or being recalled from furlough.

Where you are recalling an employee from furlough, make sure that you are giving the employee reasonable notice to return to work. You should check the initial furlough letter (or re-furlough letter) you sent them and comply with the notice period set out in it.
