Here are a few important steps to take to finish your document

Read the document to make sure it meets your needs and that everyone involved agrees with the Promissory Note. Remember that if you have any questions you can easily Ask a lawyer.

Signing online

  1. You can sign online using RocketSign.

  2. You can send an email request inviting the other party to sign.

Signing in print

  1. Print a copy for each party to the Promissory Note.

  2. Each party must sign and date both copies.

  3. The date of the Promissory Note is the date on which the parties signed if that was the same day. If they signed on different days, then it is the day when the last person signed.

A copy of your Promissory Note will be stored automatically in your Rocket Lawyer account ‘Dashboard’.

If you signed and sent your Promissory Note online, you should also download and securely store a copy of it for your records.

If you signed in print, you should securely store your paper copy of the signed Promissory Note. Each party should keep their own original signed agreement.
