Here's a checklist to help you successfully create the right Prenuptial Agreement before your wedding day.

   1. Ask well in advance – at least six months, and the more in advance the better
   2. Think about creating the agreement together
   3. If it doesn’t over go well, bring in a third party (mediator, counselor, religious advisor) to facilitate the discussion.
   4. Make sure that:
         a. Both parties voluntarily execute the agreement.
         b. Both parties engage in full disclosure of their respective situations at the time the document is executed.
         c. Both parties sign the document in the presence of a notary public.
   5. For more info, check out this article about asking your future spouse for a prenup.
   6. Relax. If you can get through this, you’ll get through the wedding just fine!
