What Does This Special Contract Actually Do?

The CISG lets you do business with clients from all over the world without having to worry about local, internal legal parameters relevant to the business. It does this by creating a standard set of rules which can be applied to a contract for services or a contract for products. If a country has ratified the CISG, then its rules apply by default with any international contracts made within it.

Why Does The CISG Exist?

Eliminating the red tape required to do businesses from around the world helps them to grow. In an international environment, legal considerations within a country can make it harder to do business. Developing countries and those in transition may have evolving business practices that make it challenging to work with businesses from other countries. A clean uniform format removes uncertainty and promotes consistency with sales contracts. This is especially advantageous for small business owners. When you're doing business with customers throughout the world, a company is naturally exposed to certain risks. A fair, default contract format addresses these issues and levels the playing field.

Your business will benefit from the predictability that comes with the CISG format. A contract for international sale of goods lowers legal risks, clarifies gray areas, promotes transparency, and improves predictability when doing business globally. Your business, regardless of size, can conduct business globally without having to worry about becoming familiar with local, internal legal considerations.

If you are a small business that is planning on doing business internationally, then we have a variety of service contracts that you can modify for your own use.
