Salary Verification Letter Basics

When one of your employers is trying to get credit, find a new job, or rent an apartment you may be asked to complete an employment and salary verification to help them take the next step. This Income Verification Form is a simple way for you to verify important information on behalf of your employees. We make the Salary Verification process straight-forward, for employers and employees.

Use the Salary Verification Letter document if:

  • You need to provide proof of your employment and/or salary
  • You've been asked to verify your employee's employment and/or salary

Our salary verification letter confirms that an employee works for the company and their current salary. Often a bank or lender will request income verification when an employee is applying for a loan, mortgage, or making a major purchase on credit. A hiring company may also ask a potential candidate for proof of their former or current employment. In such cases, the hiring company or the employee will request an Income Verification Form from the employer. An employer typically creates the Letter of Income Verification, but an employee could also create this letter themselves and ask their employer to sign it.
