Access to justice is a major problem in the United States. All around the country, millions of people are unable to get help for their legal issues because our legal system is too expensive and complicated for ordinary Americans. In addition, our citizens face issues such as discrimination, language barriers and lack of knowledge. The legal system, which was supposedly designed to help these people, is failing them and it’s time we do something about it.
On March 14, join us for Access to Justice Night at the Chicago Bar Association. From 5:30–7:30 P.M., network with other like-minded professionals, enjoy some light refreshments, and participate in a lively discussion on justice issues in America. You’ll also hear from three preeminent speakers: Jeff Aresty, President of Tech for Justice; Richard Granat, President of SmartLegalForms, Inc. and DirectLaw, Inc.; and Kimberly Sanchez, Executive Director of Community Legal Services of Central Florida.
This is an issue we care deeply about at Rocket Lawyer. Our company was founded on the belief that the law should be accessible and affordable for everyone, and we want to encourage everyone in the Chicago area to attend this important event. Here are the details:
