Running a Florida LLC
You started your Florida LLC and you’re ready to run it. Follow these next few steps:
Step 1. Select a Registered Agent Florida mandates you to have a Registered Agent to accept important notifications. Both your Registered Agent and office must be located within the state.
Step 2. Get an EIN You can apply for an Employer Identification Number by obtaining Form SS-4 with the IRS. You can also complete this process online, on the phone, or by fax.
Step 3. Establish an LLC Operating Agreement It’s optional to create an LLC Operating Agreement in Florida but it’s still recommended. It’s a great step to take soon after you form your Florida LLC.
Step 4. Initiate an Organizational Meeting Get your business started on the right foot. Initiate a meeting with all your LLC members. Florida has no specific requirements to frame the meeting.
Step 5. Submit a Statement of Information Florida doesn’t mandate you to submit a Statement of Information but it’s a good way to get all your information on the record.
