May 12, 2009 – What's a red herring and what does it have to do with Rocket Lawyer? For most, it's industry jargon for a certain type of prospectus. For us, Red Herring signifies a nice honor. The Rocket Lawyer team is buzzing with anticipation for the Red Herring 100 North America Awards. We've been selected as a finalist - a distinction only given to the most promising tech companies of the year. Even more jaw-dropping is that Rocket Lawyer was selected out of a pool of 1,200 applicants!
We'd like to say thank you to all of our visitors and members who have helped us make Rocket Lawyer better. With your continued support, we hope to keep making legal help more affordable and accessible to more people world-wide. As I write this, our founder and CEO, Charley Moore, is in San Diego for the Red Herring conference. If you're attending make sure you catch his presentation tomorrow, May 12th, at 3:45pm PST. And since we like to keep our CEO busy, it's a good thing that Charley is also participating in a roundtable at the event, "Placing Bets on Cloud Computing" on Wednesday, May 13, at 5pm PST. Charley knows all about cloud computing - in fact, he couldn't have started Rocket Lawyer without it! For more info - check out our press release. And look for more posts from the Red Herring North America 100 conference. We look forward to a great conversation about the most innovative companies and investors of 2009!
