A Legal Advice session creates an attorney–client relationship, and what you discuss in it is privileged. That’s different from Ask an Attorney and Consult an Attorney Live, where your attorney can outline the law and give possible options or outcomes but cannot advise you on how you should move forward without a signed agreement. All three are useful—they simply serve different needs.
How Much Do Rocket Lawyer Legal Advice Sessions Cost?

Rocket Lawyer members can purchase a 30-minute session with an attorney for $149 or a 60-minute session for $249 for matters that may require more time. There’s no hourly billing or guessing what your final cost will be—just one flat fee for the session.

How Do Rocket Lawyer Legal Advice Sessions Work?
Getting legal advice is easier than it’s ever been. When you are ready to talk to an attorney, you can get started by visiting the Legal Advice Sessions page or by using Rocket Lawyer’s AI legal assistant.
To book a Legal Advice Session, tell us a little about the legal matter you’re facing. Then choose the type of help you need, select a 30- or 60-minute session, and complete your purchase. We’ll match you with an attorney who is licensed in the appropriate state and works with the type of legal issue you’re facing. You can then choose an available appointment time and how you’d like to meet.
During your session, you’ll speak directly with your attorney and receive personalized legal advice. Afterward, your attorney will send you summary notes with the guidance and next steps discussed during the session.
