Dear _________________:
Since my work partner, _________________, transferred to _________________, I have found that several projects which _________________ and I were working on together have lost some of their momentum.
Since _________________ reassignment, we have worked extensively by email, telephone, and fax. In addition, we have flown back and forth numerous times to discuss the projects. But we both feel that we work more productively when we are in the same office. Our travel expenses would be lower and, ultimately, we could set higher targets for these projects if we were able to work in the same location again. Since my partner cannot move back here due to personal reasons, it seems logical that I might consider moving to _________________.
Therefore, I request that I be transferred to _________________. Could we meet sometime next _________________ to discuss this possibility?
