Mattheus E. Stephens earned his JD from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden, in 1990 and started his law career at Gray Cary Ames & Frye (now DLA Piper) as a commercial litigation associate. Matt is a Lecturer at the University of California, San Diego, a former member of the ACLU Board of Directors for San Diego/Imperial Counties, former chair of the City's Human Relations Commission, and currently sits on the City's Civil Service Commission and as a Pro Tem Judge in Small Claims Court.
