Summary
Joe has combined his law practice with community service in many ways, serving as President or Chairman of the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Newton Foundation, the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, Harvey County Big Brothers and Sisters, Leadership Newton, the Harvey County Republican Central Committee, St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and the Newton Rotary Club. In addition, Joe has been President of the Harvey County Bar Association and serves as a Pro Tem Judge.
Joe's interest in business and his comfortable style with people combine well in his practice of business and family law. Extensive experience in divorce, child custody and support issues as well as work with contracts, corporations, small business, real estate transactions and collections is the focus of his practice. In addition, Joe and his brother John regularly help individuals with wills, trusts, powers of attorney and estate planning.
Joe obtained a B.S. in Business from K.U and his Juris Doctor, with honors from Washburn. He has served on a Kansas Judicial Council advisory committee and his honors include having graduated from Leadership Kansas and having received the Newton Distinguished Service Award. He has also served as Harvey County Chairman for Governor Mike Hayden and Senator Bob Dole.
Office Hours are Monday through Friday 08:00 AM-05:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday as well as after hours by appointment.
