Doris’ business philosophies and her passion for client service derived from her years of training and sales in retail, are what drive her thirst for best practices and emerging thinking from her peers in other businesses. Her networking activities allow her to expand her base of knowledge beyond the legal profession in order to best serve her clients by having an understanding of their business, not just their legal, concerns. This influence is evident in client relationships she has formed.
Doris L. Sweetin concentrates in litigation, trial and appellate practice in insurance defense, including general liability, workers’ compensation and construction. She also practices in business and corporate law along with wills and estate planning. Doris is licensed to practice law both in Indiana and Ohio. She worked for five years in Ohio where she focused in these areas as well as in EEOC and ADA litigation. Doris is also a registered civil mediator in Ohio.
Doris is a member of Indiana State Bar Association, Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana: Board of Editors, Defense Research Institute: Trial Tactics Committee Diversity Chair, The Alternative Board: Strategic Board Member, and Continental Who's Who.
Doris has argued before the Court of Appeals in Ohio, as well as before the Supreme Court of Indiana. She is admitted to the Federal District Courts of both Ohio and Indiana and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
