Writing a Last Will and Testament is not something anyone looks forward to, but is a very important task. The only way you can be certain that your assets will be distributed and utilized the way you want following your death is to have a Last Will and Testament document that specifies your wishes.

Last Will Forms name a particular individual who will be responsible for carrying out the terms of the document, usually referred to as the executor. The document names the individuals or organizations that receive your property following your death, and specifies how assets will be divided among these beneficiaries. Wills should also designate who will assume guardianship responsibility of any minor children in the event that neither parent is alive or able to serve as guardian.

The do-it-yourself Estate Planning Legal Forms available from Rocket Lawyer include the documents necessary to prepare your Last Will and Testament, Power of Attorney, and Living Will documents.
