Consulting Agreement is a contract between a consultant and a business or individual that is retaining certain services of the consultant.

Though Consulting Agreements vary tremendously from very simple to extremely complex, all such agreements should include the following:

Scope of Work
This section outlines exactly what services the consultant is to provide. It also states the time allowed for the consultant to perform the services. This is where compensation should be specified. It must be very specific and indicate whether the consultant will be reimbursed for certain expenses.

Term
The Consulting Agreement specifies the length of the agreement and when it can be terminated.

Breach of Contract Clause
Particularly the consequences if the consultant breaches the agreement.

By having a very detailed Consulting Agreement, both consultant and client will be clear on what is expected. If you are looking for a Consulting Agreement form, you can find it and many other Business Legal Forms at RocketLawyer.com.
