Tax Credits for Workers

A substantial tax credit for workers is a cornerstone of Obama's 2009 stimulus package, the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA). 

"Making Work Pay" Tax Credit
Dubbed the "Making Work Pay" tax credit, eligible working individuals can receive a tax credit of up to $400 and eligible working couples can recieve up to an $800 credit.  The credit will be in effect for the 2009 and 2010 tax years.
