Free Will for Remarried People with Minor Children

A Last Will and Testament is an important part of every individual's estate plan. This Will can be used if you are remarried and have minor children from a prior marriage. It can also provide for minor children from your current marriage. This Will continues to be appropriate even after the minor children become adults. The easy interview process will allow you to state your intentions for your estate after your death, including who will receive your property and who will carry out your wishes.

Use the Will for Remarried People with Minor Children document if:
  • You own property to be distributed after your death.
  • You want to designate the persons or organizations that will receive your property after your death.
  • You want to designate who will carry out the terms of the Will.
  • You want to designate who will have the responsibility for your minor children if the other parent is unable to serve as the natural guardian.

Note: If your estate will be larger than the federal estate tax exemption amount, currently $5,000,000, this document is best used for education and planning purposes. Consult a lawyer for more complex estate planning.
