Free Will for Remarried People with Adult Children

If you're remarried and have adult children from a previous marriage, you might consider this type of last will and testament for your estate planning. With this will, you detail what happens to your property after you pass away and the person or group that is responsible for making sure it happens per your instructions. You can use this will to leave assets to adult children from your current and/or previous marriage.

Use the Will for Remarried People with Adult Children document if:

  • You own property, including digital assets*, that need to be handled after your death.
  • You're remarried and want to leave property or assets to adult children from a current or previous marriage.
  • You want to give your property and assets to particular people or organizations after your death.
  • You want a certain person or organization to make sure the provisions of the will are carried out.

Note: If your estate is worth more than the federal estate tax exemption amount, currently $5,000,000, just use this document for reference. A lawyer can help you put together the best estate plan for your needs.
  • Digital assets cover anything you own that's in a digital format, such as online accounts or files stored on a computer or server. Specific examples of digital assets are: social-networking websites, online backup services, photo and document sharing websites, financial and business accounts, email accounts, blogs, domain names, virtual property and computer files.
