The purpose of this checklist is to organize information and actions needed in administering the estate of a person who has died.

Use the Survivor Checklist document if:
  • You need to organize information regarding the financial and property interests of a person who has died.
  • You need to organize information regarding the beneficiaries of the deceased person's estate as well as certain relatives or heirs of the person who died.
  • You want to identify the types of documents which may be useful or required in administering the deceased person's estate, and to develop a list of advisors who may be able to help.
