Free Cell Phone Inquiry Letter

The cellular phone provider may have questions about some of the information that you have provided or may require additional information. Therefore, your letter should explain how you prefer to be contacted.

1. The Cell Phone Inquiry Letter should be signed by you. Retain a copy of the letter for your records.

2. Be sure to include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your letter.

3. If you believe that the cellular phone service statement contains an error, or if you need more information about a certain phone call which appears on the statement, address these inquiries in the letter rather than marking up the original copy of the statement itself. However, it may also be helpful to enclose a photocopy of the billing statement with the problem transaction highlighted or underlined.

If you find a charge on your statement that you do not recognize, first re-check the provider's calling area. The call may have been outside the calling plan area, and you would therefore be charged a toll call fee. If you are experiencing difficulty with the operation of the phone, check the provider's calling area to be sure you are not traveling outside the coverage area when you experience problems.

If the phone call on the statement appears to be within the calling plan area, and/or if it appears you are making calls within the calling plan area, write the cellular phone service provider.
