Recent rumors in the news media have indicated that negotiations were underway for _________________ to acquire _________________. While we have not been able to address these rumors directly in recent weeks, I can now confirm to you that, in fact, those negotiations did take place. They have resulted in an acquisition agreement between _________________ and _________________. As of _________________, _________________ will be the new owners of _________________.
Many of you may be wondering what impact this acquisition will have on you. Since I will no longer be in charge here at _________________ after the initial management transition period, it is not possible for me to give you any firm assurances about what will happen to the employees of _________________ over the long term.
However, I can tell you that the outstanding employees we have here, in addition to the historically low turnover rate, was an important valuation factor in _________________'s decision to acquire this company.
